This week we are exploring the amazing capabilities of Prima Art Alchemy Opal Magic Acrylic Paints.  In many ways it is similar to the Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paints, but at the same time, totally different.  It has the same beautiful consistency and glides on easily when painting.  Has a wonderful shimmer to it, giving any project that touch of pizzazz.  But it differs due to its unique two-tone iridescent effect, changing tone from different angles - which gives you amazing different effects on dark and light backgrounds.

In this video, we put these Prima Opal Magic paints to the test, using the exact same colours on both backgrounds but one starting on a black gesso surface while the other was created on a white gesso surface.  We also used a couple of the regular Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paints and you can see they keep a similar look on either surface, but the magic happens with the Opal Magic paints!
